Over 1,800 bills were considered and a $107 billion dollar budget was adopted during the 46-day Virginia General Assembly session that adjourned sine die on February 25, 2017.
The Hampton Roads business community was represented throughout the session by Chamber staff and volunteer leadership who provided key testimony and lobbying in support of the business agenda. Bills on short-term rentals, broadband, hospitality and tourism and economic development were sent to the Governor’s desk after significant deliberation in both state legislative chambers.
