Today beer is a better beverage than ever, and on November 4, lovers of that libation can enjoy some 100 different varieties at the Imbibe Craft Beer and Arts Festival just outside the Virginia Beach Field House near the Amphitheater.
But there will be more than local and regional beers and ciders from 2-6pm that Sunday. There will be a Game Zone for Grown Folks, an Open Air Food Market, an Artisan Market, a one of a kind Craft Soda Garden, Brew U Craft Beer Education, and a main stage for top touring bands including alternative rock favorite Big Something, Virginia’s own People’s Blues of Richmond, and the Mantras, a five piece jam band out of Greensboro.
“By incorporating the performing, visual, and culinary arts, we aim to demonstrate the unique bond between these interests and the craft beer industry in an environment offering fun, education, and a heckuva great time,” says Kristi Finigan, Festival Director. “For just $45 per person, you get it all.” Tickets are available now at https://www.imbibeva.com/.
Proceeds benefit Leesburg, Virginia-based Hire Our Heroes, which helps some of the one million unemployed veterans in our country find their next careers when they leave the service. “The veterans we help risked their lives for Americans' freedom and safety,” says Dan Caporale, the president of the organization, which is operated by veterans for veterans. "They also sacrificed years, money, job opportunities, and chances to be with their families.” Caporale says Hire Our Heroes trains, mentors and coaches transitioning veterans into the civilian workforce.
