Hampton Roads Chamber welcomes the region's newest executives

The Hampton Roads Chamber was honored to welcome the region’s newest leaders at the annual New Executive Welcome Luncheon on November 1. As the region’s premier pro-business organization, this event offers the opportunity to meet with and celebrate the men and women who have risen to the top of their field this year.

Cherry Bekaert was the event presenting sponsor and managing partner Matt Brady said, “We are excited to welcome the newest leaders who serve our community.” Regent University Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riano gave the new leaders some advice. “There are no other characteristics more important than humility and service as you take on these new leadership roles. Remember that as you embark as you grow in your positions.”

Hampton Roads Chamber CEO & President Bryan K. Stephens said, “Just as the Chamber is relentless in our pursuit of excellence, the senior leadership we are welcoming today have excelled in their fields and lead Hampton Roads in excellence.”

Chesapeake Mayor Rick West, was honored at last year’s Executive Welcome and this year he was in the audience. “I wanted to be here to show my support to those being honored and to make connections with them. Every single one of the men and women in this program are the leaders I want to know.”
