Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will hosting the ninth annual Samoa Soiree on Saturday, March 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center in Norfolk. Taste Girl Scout Cookies like never before at this adult-only event where top chefs compete to make the best dessert or savory dish using Girl Scout Cookies as a key ingredient. Great food and drinks, along with great music and silent auction – and all for a great cause.
This year’s participating restaurants include: The Bee & The Biscuit, The Butcher’s Son, Catering by Farm Fresh, Cyprus Grille at Embassy Suites Hampton, Mermaid Catering, Mixxer’s Kitchen, RJ’s Café at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, Sweetwater Cuisine, Tap It Local, Town Point Club, Travinia Italian Kitchen and The Vineyards Trattoria. No iD, a Virginia Beach-based cover band, will be providing the entertainment at this year’s event.
Celebrity judges, including Don London from Entercom, Marisa Marsey from VEER Magazine and Ashley Smith from WVEC-TV 13, will judge the culinary delights. Guests will also be able to cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award.
Tickets are $75 each.
Proceeds from the event will fund opportunities for girls to take part in programs that will teach them about how to be go-getters, innovators, risk-takers and leaders.
