South Norfolk Jordan Bridge Awarded Prestigious Lindenthal Medal
The 31st Annual International Bridge Conference was held in Pittsburgh, PA this month where General Manager Kevin Crum accepted the medal on behalf of United Bridge Partners and the South Norfolk Jordan Bridge. This award recognizes achievements in bridge engineering based on technical and material innovation.

The two-lane, high-rise toll bridge extends 5,375 feet across the Elizabeth River connecting Portsmouth and Chesapeake and provides quick access to I-64 and I-264. Upon receiving the award, Crum stated, “By providing a renewed river crossing, we are pleased to have restored a vital emergency route, aided with regional congestion and supported military readiness with renewed access to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Naval Medical Center.”
