As Virginia is home to more than 30 Fortune 1,000 companies and over 70 firms with annual revenues over $1 billion, this is an opportunity to celebrate the constant role businesses play in shaping a more prosperous Commonwealth.

As Virginia is home to more than 30 Fortune 1,000 companies and over 70 firms with annual revenues over $1 billion, Governor McAuliffe has recognized June 2014 as Business Appreciation Month. This is an opportunity to celebrate the constant role businesses play in shaping a more prosperous Commonwealth.

The highly-skilled Virginia workforce includes the largest concentration of technical workers in the country.  Innovations in internet technology have positioned the Commonwealth ahead of other states in the increasingly globalized economy. Governor McAuliffe acknowledges these important contributions and professes that increased economic opportunity affects the well-being of all Virginians.

Businesses in Virginia employ nearly 4 million people and provide a vast array of products and services to customers around the world.
