The Bank of America Charitable Foundation on July 7 announced $110,000 in grants to 15 nonprofits in Hampton Roads to help individuals build better lives. The nonprofits awarded the grants are dedicated to shaping the lives of those in need in the Hampton Roads area through workforce development, job training, employment opportunities and youth programming and education.
Some of the organizations receiving funding include Communities in Schools of Hampton Roads, Nauticus and the Boys & Girls Club of the Virginia Peninsula. These organizations are targeting at-risk local youth and helping them through job training and education.
