On December 11, Inside Business honored 23 women at their 2017 Women In Business Achievement Awards.

“One of the many reasons we have so many successful women in the community is because they set goals,” said Susan Kelly, CEO of Jo-Kell Inc. and member of the event’s judging panel. On December 11, Inside Business honored 23 women at their 2017 Women In Business Achievement Awards. Among the great women recognized, the Hampton Roads Chamber was proud to have one of our own honored. Sylvia Haines, Executive Vice President of Operations for the Chamber truly exemplifies what it means to be successful in both personal and work life. Her work ethic and aspiration to do all things to a standard of excellence are attributes that contribute to her phenomenal business acumen and her positive spirit that she carries with her at all times.

 A proud mother and wife, NASCAR lover and dedicated leader to elevating women in business and the community, she is more than deserving of this award.  

In its 15th year, this ceremony continues to highlight women throughout Hampton Roads who greatly impact the community through their economic contributions, selfless service, and leadership. From the varying occupations to the diversity of women who are honored, this ceremony highlights the growth of our region and opportunities of many partnerships and collaborations that will continue to lead the efforts for a greater Hampton Roads region.
