The International Franchise Association stopped by Hampton Roads on their nationwide tour, "@OurFranchise" and held a roundtable meeting at the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce
The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce hosted the @OurFranchise tour’s Franchise Forum on Tuesday. Chamber member and local FranNet franchisee, Marc Steiner, moderated a round table discussion with
- Robert Cresanti, President and CEO of the International Franchise Association, the voice for franchisors and franchisees
- John Hewitt, President, CEO and Chairman of Liberty Tax Service
- Chris Grandpre, Chairman and CEO of Outdoor Living Brands
- Tommy Crisler, Liberty Tax Service owner and retired Lieutenant Colonel, United States Air Force
The discussion focused on the impact that franchising has on growing local economies, benefitting local communities and creating jobs in addition to the challenges faced from recent changes in Federal Joint Employer policies. The tour also included meetings with local business and academic leaders in addition to a franchise “crawl” to meet local franchise owners.
