State of the Region Address to Provide Insight into Hampton Roads Economic Climate

 

The Hampton Roads Chamber is committed to setting the conditions for businesses to succeed.  We are inspiring ignitors working to ensure our regional organizations have top-notch leadership.  One of the ways we accomplish this is with our LEAD Hampton Roads program. LEAD Hampton Roads has a 28-year history of identifying, educating and supporting strong leaders through programs and events including the Annual State of the Region.  This address explores topics of major economic concern for the region, providing local leaders with important and relevant knowledge about the Hampton Roads economic climate.

LEAD Hampton Roads will present its18th Annual State of the Region Address on the Southside on Wednesday, October 4, and on the Peninsula on Friday, October 6. This year’s address will be presented by Dr. James V. Koch Board of Visitors Professor of Economics and President Emeritus, Dr. Vinod Agarwal, Professor of Economics and Director, Economic Forecasting Project, and Dr. Robert McNab, Professor of Economics and Deputy Director, Center for Economic Analysis and Policy, Old Dominion University. Their comprehensive analysis will address critical topics such as The Opioid Crisis, the Changing Delivery of Health care, and Is Our Economy Turning the Corner?

Following the presentation will be a dynamic Question and Answer session, allowing for attendees to dive deeper into these topics. Reserve your seat today at the regional economic discussion of the year!
