Seizing Opportunities for Growth and Regional Collaboration Discussed at Board of Directors and Trustee Meeting
Mark Johnson, Vice President and Community Development Manager of SunTrust Bank presented the Hampton Roads Chamber with a $10,000 donation to the Small Business Development Center's PROPEL program

"Bottom line up front, your chamber is healthy and doing well" said Hampton Roads Chamber President and CEO Bryan Stephens during a brief overview of the Chamber's performance at the quarterly regional board and trustee meeting on Wednesday, June 14th. The meeting, held at the Harbor Club at Waterside District, gave regional board members and trustees insight to the current status of the chamber's finances and performance. Notably, Mark Johnson, Vice President and Community Development Manager of SunTrust Bank presented the Hampton Roads Chamber with a $10,000 donation to the Small Business Development Center's PROPEL program.

Additionally, the meeting included a briefing on the upcoming Inter-regional visit planned for Nashville, Tennesee, from Chamber RVA Vice President of Leadership Development and Engagement, Richard Wintsch. Shawn Tibbetts, COO of the Port of Virginia, Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Todd Haymore, and Virginia Secretary of Transportation, Aubrey Layne also presented briefings during the meeting, followed by a brief question and answer session with the audience.
