“The Resilience Forum presents an exciting opportunity to continue to raise awareness about the importance of this topic and to showcase ongoing efforts to address coastal resiliency and sea level rise in the Hampton Roads region,” said Bob Crum, Executive Director of the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC). Crum and his organization are just one of the many local leaders involved in the inaugural Hampton Roads Resilience Forum.
The conference focuses on the issue of recurrent flooding and the public practices and policies that will aid in our resilience. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend panel discussions with leaders from a variety of industries including four of our strategic partners: Sentara, The Port of Virginia, Clark Nexsen, and Old Dominion University.
The Hampton Roads Chamber is proud to collaborate with two of our strategic partners, Inside Business and Old Dominion University in sponsoring the Resilience Forum. The Hampton Roads Chamber means business and as an inspiring ignitor we hope to help the regional economy prosper as we look for solutions to this problem.
