The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Military Citizen of the Year Luncheon on October 9 at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott. The Samuel T. Northern Military Citizen of the Year Award was presented to ET3 Jasmin Lamanna of the Naval Computer & Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic in the city of Norfolk. Lamanna was among 37 nominees for this award, which honors an individual whose personal and public volunteer contributions have had the most positive effect on the Hampton Roads community. The luncheon also gives the Hampton Roads business community the opportunity to show its appreciation for the local military presence.
The Hampton Roads Chamber was excited to host Courtney Lynch as the speaker for the first event in the Professional Women's Leadership Series. Courtney gave a dynamic and engaging presentation on what it means to have SPARK and how to utilize that to become an influential and impact leader.
